3. Spinning Centre - Yarn
Seven women, each with her own rhythm and refined technique, spin the wool into yarn using S10 Concept Spinning Wheels. Their names — Shushanik Harutyunyan, Anna Avetisyan, Lilit Davtyan, Ani Sargsyan, Stella Karapetyan, Elmira Piloyan, and Arpine Manukyan — are inseparable from the identity of the product, reflecting the human expertise behind every strand.
Based at the Amasia Spinning Centre, located at Ամասիայի համայնքապետարան, 19 շենք, 26 փողոց, Amasia 2701, Armenia, each artisan has completed over 30 hours of professional training and continues to receive mentorship in fibre handling and spinning techniques.
Together, they have contributed approximately 420 collective hours to spin the yarn required for seven handwoven carpets, averaging 60 hours per spinner across the full production cycle.
All participants have given informed consent for their names, spinning methods, and time contributions to be recorded as part of the blockchain-based Digital Product Passport, ensuring transparency, authorship, and recognition within the textile’s lifecycle.
