In the heart of Amasia, surrounded by sheep pastures and mountain winds, a quiet revolution is underway. Our newly opened spinning center is bringing Armenian wool back to life — and it’s powered by women.

These incredible ladies — Aghunik Hazryan, Stella Karapetyan, Shushanik Harutyunyan, Ani Sargsyan, Elmira Piloyan, Lilit Davtyan, Anna Avetisyan, and Arpine Manukyan — are the first trained spinners in the region, turning raw wool into beautifully crafted yarn.

Every strand they spin carries a story — of tradition, pride, and new opportunity.

From village to loom, from past to future — Amasia spins on.

The spinning center is already creating jobs and breathing new life into Armenia’s wool value chain. From here, traceable yarn travels to weaving studios, designers, and even international markets — all carrying the story of Amasia with them.

Every skein spun here tells a story of revival, resilience, and rural innovation.
